Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the ebbo mobile app handles your information. ebbo helps you organize subscriptions, track recurring payments, and view spending summaries.

1. Developer and contact

Developer: Marcin Mrowicki
Privacy contact: mrowicki.marcin@gmail.com

2. Data stored on your device

ebbo stores the subscription information you enter locally on your device. This may include subscription names, amounts, currencies, payment and renewal dates, categories, and reminder settings. Your appearance preferences are also stored locally.

This information is used to display your subscriptions, calculate spending summaries, and schedule reminders. ebbo does not require you to create an account.

3. Analytics and advertising

ebbo does not use analytics or advertising services.

4. Internet access and exchange rates

ebbo uses an internet connection to retrieve currency exchange rates so it can display spending totals in your preferred currency. Rates are refreshed no more than once every 12 hours. When offline, ebbo uses the last saved rates, or rates bundled with the app if no rates have been downloaded.

ebbo requests exchange rates from the Frankfurter API using a base currency and target currency codes. Currency conversion is performed locally; the rate lookup does not require your subscription names or payment amounts. As with any internet connection, network infrastructure handles connection information such as your IP address. According to Frankfurter's published privacy statement, its API does not collect or log personal data, IP addresses, or request URLs. Its public service uses Cloudflare for caching and DDoS protection, with aggregate traffic statistics.

5. Notification permission

ebbo requests notification permission to show reminders about upcoming payments, renewals, and trial endings. You can allow or disable notifications in your device settings. ebbo does not request other optional device permissions.

6. Storage and backups

Subscription data, settings, your selected currency, cached exchange rates, and onboarding status are stored in a local SQLite database within the app's storage. ebbo does not provide its own cloud backup or synchronization service.

iOS system backups: The app's local data may be included in device backups managed by iOS, including iCloud or computer backups. Restoring a device from an earlier backup can restore that data. These backups are managed through your Apple device settings.

Protect your device using its available security features, such as a screen lock. No method of storage can guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention and deletion

Your locally stored information remains on your device while the app retains its local data. To remove all app data on Android, use your device settings to open ebbo's app information and choose the option to clear its storage or app data. The exact wording varies by device.

iOS: To delete the app and its associated local app data, open Settings → General → iPhone Storage → ebbo → Delete App. Choosing Offload App keeps documents and data; removing the icon from the Home Screen does not delete the app. Apple storage guidance.

Because ebbo does not require an account, there is no ebbo account to delete. Clearing app data removes your saved subscriptions and preferences. On iOS, deleting ebbo removes its local database and scheduled local notifications. ebbo does not use Keychain or another persistent store outside its app storage. A fresh installation starts without your previous data, unless that data is restored from a device backup.

8. Changes to this policy

This page may be updated when ebbo's features or data practices change. The date at the top indicates the latest update.
